Hello, I’m the 1976 Bicentennial Quarter, but you can call me 76 for short. 10 years ago the US Mint started the “50 State Quarter” program, in which they’d produce a quarter for each state. Well, this is the final year, so that means all 50 states have been produced!
I was admiring all of the different coins the other day, and a flash of brilliance dawned on me. WHAT IF I MADE THE QUARTERS FIGHT EACH OTHER? Given that I am a fellow coin, I can of course do that. But then I figured, this is a democracy, and so I decided to leave it to the good people out there to vote which quarter will reign supreme in a battle royale.
So in November and December we had brawls a plenty, and after all the dust cleared, NEW JERSEY’s George Washington and his Continental Army was the winner.

New Jersey, the 2008 Champion!
Thanks to everyone for voting! To look at all the past posts, take a look at our Quarter Battle Category.

You flipped a dime minted in Colorado to determine the Colorado tiebreakers? I call shenanigans against Idaho!
