{"id":35,"date":"2008-02-05T22:52:31","date_gmt":"2008-02-06T03:52:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.coreyhulse.com\/?p=35"},"modified":"2011-01-30T14:31:25","modified_gmt":"2011-01-30T19:31:25","slug":"super-bowl-champions-and-a-pie-chart","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.coreyhulse.com\/corey\/2008\/02\/05\/super-bowl-champions-and-a-pie-chart\/","title":{"rendered":"super bowl champions and a pie chart"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MsoNormal\">This past Sunday was the greatest Super Bowl ever.\u00a0 Clearly I am biased because I am a New York Giants fan, but you have to admit that was an amazing game.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Here are my personal highlights from the 2007 NFL Season:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Watching the opening game of the season against the Cowboys on Tay-Tay\u2019s crazy 50-something inch TV.<\/li>\n<li>Being surrounded by Giants and Jets fans in a sports pub in London for the Giants\/Jets game.<\/li>\n<li>Going to the Giants\/Dolphins game at Wembley in London and NOT getting wet.<\/li>\n<li>Going to the Giants\/Eagles game in Philadelphia.\u00a0 Highlights include Eagles fans booing a mom and her two 6-year old kids who were wearing Giants gear.\u00a0 Also a highlight:\u00a0 The Giants winning (just like EVERY road game this year).<\/li>\n<li>Watching the first Giants\/Patriots game from a concourse at a UNLV basketball game.<\/li>\n<li>Getting my first ever Giants jersey.\u00a0 They didn\u2019t have Jeff Feagles, so I got Michael Strahan (which I thank Drew, Kristine, Jerricka, Ryan and Stephanie for).<\/li>\n<li>Watching the Playoffs at Fox and Hound (Tampa), Chickies and Pete\u2019s (Dallas), and the Crespi house (Green Bay).<\/li>\n<li>And clearly, the entire Super Bowl was amazing.\u00a0 Highlights include eating a lot of wings, a \u201cbrownie pizza\u201d courtesy of Wendy, and some blow-your-brains-out salsa courtesy of Kristine.\u00a0 I also realized that I unfortunately curse a lot during sporting events, and in homage to <a href=\"http:\/\/xkcd.com\/290\/\" target=\"_blank\">xkcd<\/a>, have created my own pie chart of \u201cSources of My Cursing\u201d (See Figure 1a).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Favorite Commercial: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=l4BuKTv35rE \" target=\"_blank\">Diet Pepsi Max<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Fun Fact Trivia Question:\u00a0 There are four players active in the NFL today who are also in the 1991 video game Tecmo Super Bowl.\u00a0 Two of them played in Super Bowl XLII.\u00a0 Name them, and you\u2019ll get a prize.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Congrats to the New   York Football Giants, Super Bowl XLII Champions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n<div style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.coreyhulse.com\/corey\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/02\/cursing.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-518 alignnone\" title=\"cursing\" src=\"http:\/\/www.coreyhulse.com\/corey\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/02\/cursing.gif\" alt=\"cursing\" width=\"582\" height=\"361\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.coreyhulse.com\/corey\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/02\/cursing.gif 582w, https:\/\/www.coreyhulse.com\/corey\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/02\/cursing-299x186.gif 299w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 582px) 100vw, 582px\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center\">Figure 1a<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This past Sunday was the greatest Super Bowl ever.\u00a0 Clearly I am biased because I am a New York Giants fan, but you have to admit that was an amazing game.
