A quick rant.

Tonight I was watching Wheel of Fortune. Let me establish first that I love that show and one of my life goals is to be on in. Also, for those who don’t know, I worked at Great Adventure for four years while in high school.

Now, the rant. On the first puzzle tonight, there was a prize back to go to Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ. Wow! Cool. Except when they were describing the trip, they said it was “located just outside New York City!”

What a crock of manure. Anyone from that area knows that it’s nowhere near New York City. 70.3 miles to be exact! Up to two hours in traffic!

Here’s what Google Maps has to say:

Firstly, you need to make the comments color darker. I have trouble finding it. Secondly, for people off the East coast, two hours is a close drive. Yes, I drive two hours from home and pass through 2 states, but that is not the case in places like Texas, where it takes 6-16 hours to get anywhere worth going. Hell, Philly is 6 hours from Boston buy my parents wouldn’t drive me to school because they thought it was too far. Wendy, on the other hand, has made the trip to Fergus more than once. Different perceptions of difference…
